🗣️The Speaker: Dr. Silllalee a/l S. Kandasamy is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Indian Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya, holding a PhD, MA and BA in Indian Studies from the same university, with an extensive academic profile that includes major administrative leadership roles such as Deputy Head of Department and Chief Executive Editor of Jurnal Tamil Peraivu, a strong research portfolio in Tamil studies, Indian diaspora, Siddha tradition, education, media, and social sciences, more than 40 journal articles, books and book chapters indexed in WoS, Scopus and ESCI, multiple national and international research grants as Principal Investigator and Co-Researcher, wide experience as plenary, keynote and invited speaker, and significant professional service as internal and external examiner, reviewer, editor and conference chair, demonstrating a distinguished contribution to Tamil studies, Indian culture, education, and interdisciplinary social science research at both national and international levels.
