🔹 About the Speaker:
Datuk Mohanadas Nagappan is a Malaysian mountaineering icon, one of the first two Malaysians to successfully summit Mount Everest on 23rd May 1997, becoming the 714th climber in history to achieve this feat. Born in Kuala Lumpur on 28th December 1961, he developed a passion for adventure early in life.
He worked in the Oil & Gas industry for 38 years, balancing his corporate career while pursuing his love for mountaineering. His journey to Everest began with years of rigorous training, including Outward Bound School leadership courses, high-altitude training in New Zealand, and alpine expeditions across Nepal and India. Despite employment constraints, financial difficulties, and extreme physical challenges, he persevered and became part of the 1997 Malaysian Mount Everest Expedition Team.
His successful ascent of Everest brought him national recognition, and he became a motivational speaker, mentor, and inspiration to many young adventurers. He was honored with multiple state and federal awards, including:

Now an entrepreneur and founder of MD Outdoor Consultant, he leads sacred journeys to Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, organizes trekking and snow mountain climbing expeditions, and provides customized outdoor adventure consultations. His legacy continues to inspire Malaysians to push their limits and achieve greatness
